Gurgaon Auto Executives Accused in ₹50 Lakh Bentley Fraud

Hyderabad Police File Cheating Case Against Luxury Car Firm Officials

Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills police have registered a cheating case against senior executives of a Gurgaon-based luxury automobile firm. The executives allegedly defrauded Saral Talwar, proprietor of Hyderabad-based Talwar Motors, of ₹50 lakh through the unauthorized sale of his Bentley Brooklands car using forged documents .

Alleged Misuse of Test Drive Agreement

According to the complaint, in early 2023, the accused—Siddharth Chaturvedi and Damini Mehta (both directors), Akash Chaturvedi, and Sanjiv Sharma (CEO of the company’s now-defunct Hyderabad branch)—approached Talwar expressing interest in purchasing his Bentley Brooklands. They agreed on a one-month test drive period, during which Talwar retained the original documents and secured post-dated cheques as collateral.

However, Talwar alleges that the accused transported the car to Delhi without authorization, forged registration and ownership documents, and sold it to an unknown buyer. Upon discovering the unauthorized sale during a visit to Delhi, Talwar attempted to contact the executives, who allegedly evaded his calls and later threatened him for pursuing legal action .

Police Investigation Underway

The Banjara Hills police have initiated an investigation into the matter, focusing on the alleged forgery and unauthorized sale of the vehicle. The case highlights concerns over fraudulent activities in the luxury automobile sector and underscores the importance of due diligence in high-value transactions.

Authorities are working to trace the current whereabouts of the Bentley Brooklands and identify the third-party buyer involved in the transaction. Legal proceedings against the accused executives are expected to follow based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
